Help me plan my holiday?
And an article about LinkedIn cringe lol
I'm going to be very honest – it's the 26th November and my brain is almost on empty. I reckon I've got two, maybe two and a half, good weeks left before the thing needs to go on ice. The old turn-it-off-then-turn-it-back-on-again fix. And even though we're not quite there yet, I'm already planning what I want to read, watch & listen to that's not news.
This is where I need some help from you, in the form of recommendations! What podcasts are you listening to? What books are you reading? Lately, I've been stuck in a real content rut – the ideas are starting to sound the same as I've burrowed further into algorithms that are serving up only the things I already like. Not that much feels new.
So I am seriously asking you to, please, reply to this email with a recommendation I should make time for when Zee Feed goes on summer hiatus in a month. Expand my horizons!
Pinky promise I'll return the favour over the next few weeks with our summer book recommendation list; a compilation of every article/video/podcast we've recommended in 2022; and advice from people way cooler than me about where to find culture that actually feel fresh. This is a Marvel Free Zone, sorry.

How the Taliban helped build the stadiums for the Qatar World Cup on The TelegraphIf we're going to watch and enjoy the World Cup, and cheer the Socceroos on against the odds, it's only right that we face up to the horrible truth of this instalment. This is a rough but important exclusive report by The Telegraph.
Feminism Made a Faustian Bargain With Celebrity Culture. Now It’s Paying the Price on The New York TimesSharing in light of Julia Fox, Emily Ratajkowski et al being heralded as 'revolutionary' feminists on TikTok. This conversation needs to be had in Australia too, but that's a topic to tackle next year...
Why Do We Find LinkedIn So Cringe? on Refinery29"LinkedIn You is the work version of yourself... Unless you are someone who sits happily in the corporate world at all times in your life (and if you are, more power to you), there’s something vulnerable about being your work self online."
This TikTok about one small but important detail the new Wednesday show got wrong about the Addams Family 💔
